There are no set services for Joseph Martin "Marty" Robertson, 70, of Burleson.

Joseph "Marty" Robertson passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026, in Burleson. He was born on January 3, 1956, in Fort Worth. Known by many as a jack of all trades, Marty was always up to something, his boundless curiosity and hands-on spirit defined so much of his life. Whether it was tinkering on a new project or lending a skilled hand, Marty applied himself to any task with dedication and enthusiasm. Yet, above all, it was fishing that brought him the greatest joy. The calm of the water and the quiet patience required were a perfect match for his thoughtful nature.

Perhaps what truly set Marty apart was his loyalty as a friend and the enormity of his heart. Those close to him remember the help he offered freely. Marty’s kindness was genuine, though it was paired with a clear sense of wisdom: while his compassion was boundless, he held firm to his values and kept himself from being taken advantage of. His favorite saying, "Give a man a fish, feed him for a day; teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime."

Marty was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Bennie Robertson.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sandy Robertson, aunt and uncle, Wilma and Sonny Stafford, best friend, Robert McPhetridge, and many friends and family.
