John Taylor

Services for Johnny Taylor, 76, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 25, 2011 in the Crosier Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Rev. Kenneth Coleman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Greenacres Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, June 24, 2011 in the funeral home.

Mr. Taylor passed away at his home, surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, June 23, 2011. He was born September 4, 1934 in Rhome, Texas to Frank P. and Jimmie Sue Earp Taylor. Johnny retired as an auto mechanic in 2001 and owner of BJ's Automotive. He was of the Methodist faith. He married Barbara Carmean on May 9, 2000 in Lewisville. Johnny was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing and working on the farm with his wife. Johnny's great sense of humor and tinkering nature will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; youngest son, Michael Taylor; and brother, Pete Taylor.

Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Barbara Taylor; children, Mark Taylor and his wife, Katrina; and Jeanette Robichaux and her husband, Jeff; grandchildren, Casey, Frank and Rachel; sister, Betty Pointer and her husband, Jackie; several nieces, nephews and a host of other friends and relatives.
