John Slaughter

Service for John Michael Slaughter, 34, of Dallas, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Cleburne Bible Church. Dr. David denHartog will officiate. Burial will follow at Derden Cemetery in Hill County. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home in Cleburne.

John passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023 in Dallas. He was born November 27, 1988 in College Station to Harold Brent and Deborah Sue (Ellis) Slaughter. He was an assistant produce manager for Kroger. John had a fun-loving spirit with a generous and kind heart. He was loyal to his family and friends with a loving nature. John enjoyed cooking and sketching in his free time. He was an avid animal lover, as well as an animal advocate and rescuer and had many furry friends who had been abandoned over the years. John will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

John is survived by his parents; sisters, Joy and Jimmy York, Ginny and Geoffry Lowans, Jessica Slaughter and Danay Slaughter; brother, Daniel Slaughter; and numerous nieces, nephews and host of other family and friends.

John is preceded in death by his grandparents, Gilbert and Robbie Ellis, Bud and Virginia Slaughter and brother, Barry Slaughter.
