Graveside service for John Henry Reichstetter, 78, of Cleburne, will be held privately in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M., Sunday, August 18, 2024, at the funeral home. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Steve Curlee, Kent Curlee, Ronnie Curlee, Cody Curlee, Billie Duvall, and Hershel Duvall.
John passed away Monday, August 12, 2024, in Cleburne. He was born August 25, 1945 in Granbury to Jimmie Lee and Josie (Bradley) Reichstetter. John, a man of the Christian faith, dedicated his career to Agriculture as a farm laborer. A fervent supporter of the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers, John had a passion for sports that brought joy to his life. Known for his sociable nature, he never hesitated to strike up a conversation with anyone, often captivating stories with those around him. John's good sense of humor, love for westerns such as Gunsmoke and Bonanza, as well as cowboy tales, added color to his character. Renowned for his generous spirit, John's willingness to lend a helping hand endeared him to many. Those who had the pleasure of knowing him will fondly remember his warmth and kindness, with a “heart as big as Texas.” John will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched.
Survivors include his sister, Shirley McMillen; best friend, T.D. Curlee; nephews, Billy Duvall and Hershel Duvall; nieces, Blenda Blevins, Glenda Bird, and Ashley Rios.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie and Josie Reichstetter; brothers, Leroy Reichstetter, Jimmie Wayne Reichstetter; and sister, Mary Jo Groom.
