John Hollen

A memorial service will be conducted for John Franklin Hollen, 86, of Grandview, at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 22, 2022, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel.

John passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022, in Grandview. He was born June 7, 1935, in Fort Worth to Wilfred Emmit and Ruby Mae (Polk) Hollen-Hester. He married Joyce Marie Brooks on September 6, 1957, in Crowell, Texas. John worked as a machinist in the Graphics Industry, employed with Harris Graphics in Fort Worth and PenGo, also in Fort Worth. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955. John enjoyed fishing and spending as much time as he could at the lake. Coffee was a must for him and working in his garden. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. John’s strong will and love of family will be missed greatly for years to come.

John is survived by his children, Gary Don Hollen, Helen McCommas, Rita Crecy and husband, Michael, and Julie Turner and husband, Jay; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and granddaughter, Crystal Faye Laningham.
