John Randall “Randy” Gordon was born on March 20, 1952, in Cleburne Texas, to John and Irene Gordon. He went to be with our Lord on September 9, 2026, after a courageous battle of health issues.

Randy grew up on a farm in the Friendship community in Cleburne, where he acquired his love for animals. He attended Friendship School, Cleburne High School and Hill Jr. College. He loved agriculture and was a member of Future Farmers of America. As a child Randy had many animals and pets. Later he raised pigeons and began training Beagles to hunt. He traveled all over Texas and Oklahoma with his dogs to major hunts and won many championships.

He moved to Thackerville, Oklahoma and then started working at Winstar Casino for many years. He moved back to Cleburne for retirement to be close to his family members. He acquired a cat named JD who was the highlight of his life and kept him entertained.

He enjoyed watching football with his sister and brother-in-law, especially the Dallas Cowboys. Randy loved watching reality shows with his nieces, spending time with family and eating good food. He was greatly loved by his brother and sisters.

He loved the Lord Jesus and was faithful to him until he went into his presence. 

His time with his family will forever be cherished.

Randy was preceded in death by his beloved parents, John and Irene Gordon of Cleburne, TX; his sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Bobby Graves of Cleburne Texas and sister and brother-in-law, Glenna and Wayne Bradshaw of Joshua, TX.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, DeMarquis and Jeannie Gordon of Eastland, TX. ; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
