John David Kennemer, age 51, of Waco, passed from this earthly life on May 18, 2026. David was born in Fort Worth to James Dale Kennemer and Brenda Darline Kennemer. Named thoughtfully, John “the Beloved” and David “the Annointed.” He attended Brewer High School and worked for more than 20 years as a commercial general contractor. Through his work, he built not only structures, but lasting friendships and respect among those who knew him.

David loved God deeply and shared that faith with many throughout his life. Though he faced challenges of his own, he was often a steady source of strength and comfort to family and friends during their most difficult moments.

Those who knew him best remember his loyalty, quiet strength, compassion, and unwavering devotion to God. His beautiful soul touched many lives, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who love him.

One of David’s greatest joys was fishing. He cherished time on the lake with family and friends, fishing pole in hand, laughter all around, and memories being made. The stories retold were seldom about fish, but instead about the humor and special moments shared.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.D. and Irlene Kennemer; grandmother, Kathy Force; father, James Dale Kennemer; and uncles, Steve Force, Terry Force, and Paul Kennemer.

David is survived by his wife, Ashley Kennemer; mother, Darline Kennemer; four sisters, Carrie Ann Carter, Katrina Kennemer, Sara Kennemer, and Rachel Kennemer; daughters, Abigal, Madison and Kadie; son, Joshua Dillon Kennemer; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all who returned David’s love, and all who will forever hold him dear.
