Jo Betty Shelton

Graveside service for Jo Betty Jean Shelton, 86, of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, July 19, 2018 in the Rio Vista Cemetery. Pastor Jim Cloud will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Jo Betty Jean Shelton was born April 10, 1932 in Cleburne to Forest and Callie Baxter Harwell. She graduated from Cleburne High School in 1950 and was a medical transcriptionist until retiring.
Jo Betty loved God, her family, and her friends. A talented person, she loved staying busy with cooking, art, listening to music and lots of laughter. Jo Betty was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her daughters, Lydia Kay Tilles and Susan D. Horton, both of Ft. Worth; granddaughter, Katherine Reneé Rial of Ft. Worth; two grandsons, Tony Rial and wife Michelle Childress Rial of Trophy Club and Terry Rial of Austin; great grandson, Aidan Lucas Rial; sister, Julia Moxon of Cleburne; and brother, Bill Harwell of Cleburne. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, O.B. Horton, Jr. and Mack L. Shelton; brother, Forest Harwell Jr.; and two sisters, Thelma June Tomlinson and Lola Looper.
