Jimmy Lavender

Service for Jimmy Lavender, 73, of Blum, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Monday, October 10, 2022, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Wade Yarbro and Mr. Tommy Shoemaker will officiate. Interment will be in Kimball Cemetery, Bosque County, Texas. Pallbearers will be Curtis Rives, Jimmy Soloman, Corey Allen, Mike Downs, Curry Reagan, Josh McPherson, Bllade Earley and Larry Durham. Honorary pallbearers will be JC Lavender, Cooper Lavender, Cutter Lavender, Buzz Dulick, Tony Bruce and Gayland Hubbard. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 09, 2022 at the funeral home.

Jimmy Lavender passed away on Wednesday, October 05, 2022 in Blum. He was born on February 08, 1949 in Waxahachie to JC and Betty Jo (Norman) Lavender. He married Beverly Kay Calahan on May 29, 1970 in Morgan, Texas. He was a cement contractor for over 50 years and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kay Lavender of Blum; son, Chance Lavender and wife Lacey of Blum; 3 grandsons, JC Lavender, Cooper Lavender and Cutter Lavender all of Blum; 3 granddaughters, Katelynn Lavender, Kimberly Lavender and Kennedy Spaeth; 2 great-grandchildren, Brazos Johnston and Weston Lavender; one brother, Grover Lavender and wife Lisa of Cleburne and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; JC and Betty Lavender; daughter, Amy Lavender in 2021 and sister, Carolyn Jo Lavender.
