Jimmy Cavazos

Service for Jimmy Ortiz Cavazos, 69, of Itasca, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 2, 2021 in at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Greenacres Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6-7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Rosary will be 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Jimmy Ortiz Cavazos passed away May 27, 2021 in Fort Worth. He was born March 10, 1952 in Alice, Texas to Manuel L. and Olivia Ortiz Cavazos. He married Maria Sandoval on February 5, 2000. Jimmy was a carman and retired from BNSF Railroad after 40 plus years of service. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Jimmy loved Tejano music, dancing and his dogs.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Maria Cavazos of Itasca; daughter Jennifer Pena and Ramon of Hawaii; sons, Jason Cavazos and Whitney of Burleson, Jimmy Daniel Cavazos of Fort Worth; step-sons, Michael Villegas and Carmen of Cleburne, Robert Villegas of Itasca, Roy Luna and Jennifer of Cleburne; siblings, Manuel O. Cavazos and wife Nellie of Itasca, Petra O. Cavazos of Burleson, Margarito O. Cavazos of Cleburne, Gonzalo O. Cavazos and wife Ernestine of Itasca, Maria A. Galindo of Cleburne, Willie O. Cavazos and wife Becky of Cleburne, and Sylvia O. Terronez and husband Tony of Cleburne; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
