Funeral service for Jerry B. Ritchey, Sr., 92, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 29, 2025 in the Lane Prairie Baptist Church located at 412 CR 704, Joshua, Texas 76058 with Pastor Ricky Fuchs officiating. A graveside will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 29, 2025 in the Emerald Hills Memorial Park located at 500 Kennedale Sublett Road, Kennedale, Texas 76060. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home.

Jerry B. Ritchey, Sr., passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025 in Keene. He was born on April 27, 1933 in Chillicothe, Texas. Jerry married Betty Jo Ford on March 14 1953 in Azle, Texas. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He worked over 25 years with Lockheed-Martin as an Electronics Engineer. His love of aviation echoed throughout his life. He even built an RV-12 experimental aircraft with his son. Jerry was a member and officer of the Cleburne Chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association for a number of years. Jerry was a member of Lane Prairie Baptist Church. He was a devout Christian man, with high standards and ethics. He was known for being a driven man, who was light-hearted and social. Jerry was a lover of baseball and football. He played both in high school and baseball while in the Navy. He took great pride in coaching Peewee baseball and football as well. He spoke frequently of the kids he coached. Jerry’s love of life, great character and kind heart will be missed greatly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Jerry Ritchey and Lucille Sally Glosson Ritchey; and daughter, Tammy Ritchey.

Survivors include his wife 72 years, Betty Ritchey; children, Ginger Ritchey & her husband, James Adams, Jerry Ritchey, Jr. & his wife, Leticia, and Jason Ritchey & his wife, Gretchen; grandchildren, Whitney, Travis, Trent, and Lauren; great grandchildren, Gwynna and Nelson; siblings, Jack Ritchey and Retha Saylor; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
