Memorial service for Jerry Wayne Brigman, 67, of Joshua will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 14, 2014 in Joshua Baptist Church. The Reverend Gene Wolfenbarger will officiate. Pallbearers will be Don Holland, Scott Loftin, J.T. Harris, Gary Mabra, Jim Hooper, Mo Barbee, Bill Hill and Mark Latham. The Reverend Brian McClure will conduct a private family graveside. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Mr. Brigman will lie in state at the Mountain Valley Funeral Home in Joshua on Thursday afternoon.
Jerry Wayne Brigman passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014 in Ft. Worth. He was born December 12, 1946 in Fort Worth to Johnny and Evalyne Burdine Brigman. He married Candace Gale Wilmoth on November 21, 1977 in Durant, Oklahoma.
Mr. Brigman graduated Paschal High School in 1965 and attended Abilene Christian College and graduated from The School of Bank Administration at the University of Wisconsin. He began his 20 year banking career at First National Bank of Fort Worth. He was employed at Lockheed Martin from 1988 to the present, where he achieved his current position as Senior Manager. Jerry was also a member of Joshua Baptist Church.
Jerry was an avid fisherman, hunter, NASCAR, and Texas Rangers fan. Besides family, Jerrys main loves were the Brazos River and being highly regarded as a Barbeque Pitmaster. He will be remembered for his generosity, humor and wit. He will be missed by so many friends and colleagues.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Candace Wilmoth Brigman of Joshua; father, Johnny Brigman of Whitney; sister, Vickie Hundemer and husband Scott of Fort Worth; daughter, Kelly Thomason and husband Ryan of Fort Worth; two granddaughters, Sydney and Shelby; stepson, Monty Youngblood; and eight nieces and nephews.
