Jenny Gushikuma

A funeral service for Jenny Laik Gushikuma, 79, of Cleburne, will be held at 2 PM on Friday, November 28, 2025 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel, located at 512 N. Ridgeway Dr., Cleburne, Tx 76033, with Rev. Charles Aaron officiating. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home on Friday, November 28, 2025.

Jenny Gushikuma, born on May 1, 1946, in Majuro, Marshall Islands, gracefully departed this life on November 19, 2025, in Burleson, Texas. Her life was a testament to the warmth of compassion, the strength of love, and the joy found in family.

Jenny is remembered as a fun and very nice person, known affectionately as "BuBu" by her grandchildren. Her legacy as a loving mother and grandmother will endure through the many lives she touched. Her nurturing spirit and dedication to her family exemplified what it meant to be both a wife and a mother.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: brothers Linter Makroro and Tiem Makroro, and sisters Elwina Laik, Joselyn Laik, Mable Makroro, and Tarkoj Makroro. Their memories will surely resonate as part of the foundation from which her love blossomed.

Jenny is survived by her beloved husband, Edwin Gushikuma, and her children: daughter Donna Leban and her husband Jim, son Eddy Jr. Gushikuma and his wife Catherine, son Darrell Gushikuma, and daughter Gayline Hesa and her husband Banny; her 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; her brother, Hermai Makroro, along with a host of friends and relatives whose lives she enriched.

Jenny's life was a beautiful journey characterized by love, laughter, and unwavering support for her family. She will be profoundly missed, yet her spirit will remain alive in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
