Janet Lynne (Jobe) Murphy

A celebration of life for Janet Lynne (Jobe) Murphy, 62, of Cleburne will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, May 1, 2026, in the Cross Timbers Room at The Cleburne Conference Center located at 1501 W. Henderson, Cleburne, Texas 76033.

Janet Lynne Murphy, of Alvarado, passed away on April 22nd, 2026, surrounded by her children and other loved ones.

She was born on August 26, 1963, to Jimmy James Jobe and Ada Lucille Jobe in Cleburne, at Johnson County Memorial Hospital.

Her greatest joys in life included spending every moment she possibly could with her family—whether taking getaways to Winstar or living it up in the sun at the beach. She loved the outdoors, playing games together, having a couple of drinks, and simply being present in the moment with her family. She was a strong-spirited woman, a little stubborn, which all of us kids jokingly reminded her of on a daily basis—but we wouldn’t have changed her for the world.

Janet was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy James Jobe, and her mother, Ada Lucille Jobe.

She is survived by her son, Jason Harwell, and grandson, Kason; her son, Jeremy, and wife, Ashley Harwell, granddaughters Kennedy and Madalyn Reveles, and great-granddaughter Oaklynn; and her daughter, Jennifer, and husband, Derek Jackson, granddaughters Bayli and Gracie Chadwell.
