James Monk, Sr.

Memorial Service for James “Jim” Edward Monk, Sr., 94, of Fort Worth, will be 11:30 am on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Calvary Baptist Church, 700 Woodard Ave, Cleburne, Texas 76033. Inurnment is 2:00 pm, Friday July 25, 2025 in DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211 A visitation will be 6-8:00pm, Thursday, July 24, at Calvary Baptist Church in Cleburne.

Jim was born December 4, 1930 in Fort Worth. He passed away Friday, June 27, 2025 in Fort Worth. Jim served in the Korean War. He enjoyed sports (Rangers and Cowboys) and listening to all sports stations in DFW.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife Wanda Monk, brother Johnny and sister Julia.

Jim is survived by his children, Carla Monk, Angela Monk, James Edward Monk, Jr., Kenneth Monk, Brooks Monk, Sr. and wife, Betty, Scott Monk and wife, Annmarie and Melody Caves Arnold, grandchildren, CJ Monk, Jessica Beltran and husband Nathan, Grace Monk and husband Jonathan Mozingo, Olivia Monk, Hope Monk, Charlotte Monk, Barbee Monk, Brooks Monk, Jr, Lauren Monk, Daniel Monk, MacKenzie Maclin and husband Travis, Adria Caves, Chelsie Alvarado and husband Luis, Arron Caves and wife Darla, Brook De La Riva and husband Martin, his great grandchildren Ellie Monk, Samual Beltran, Wyatt Beltran, Cassidy Casillas, Cameron Casillas, Kaven Lumsden, Caroline Alvardo, Arya Caves, Ava Luna, Adrian De La Riva, Amalia De La Riva, Angelo Del La Riva, great, great grandchildren Camila Serrato, Kadence Lumsden, and his nephew Philip Lisle and wife Jill.
