Homer A. Giles, Jr. passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born on September 10, 1925, in Lewisville, Texas, and lived a long and fulfilling life that was marked by devotion to family, service, and humor.
Homer served honorably in the United States Air Force, a commitment that instilled in him a sense of discipline and dedication that would carry through the rest of his life. Known affectionately as the "TikTok Granddaddy Farmer," he embraced modern technology to share his love for farming, bringing joy and laughter to many through his humorous and heartfelt videos. His infectious spirit and comedic nature endeared him to all who knew him, and he often brightened the days of others with his quick wit.
A hard worker throughout his life, Homer found great satisfaction in his responsibilities, both on the farm and in his personal life. He had a profound love for outdoors, especially hunting deer, which provided him with an opportunity to connect with nature and enjoy time spent with friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Giles; parents, Homer Adolphus Giles, Sr. and Lyda Pearl (Martin) Giles; his siblings, H.L. Giles, Bill Giles, Doug Giles, Walter Giles, Bobby Giles, Gary Giles, and Paul Giles; his grandchild, Spencer Giles; and great-grandchild, Calab Giles.
He is survived by his children, JuneAnn Morris, Marihelen Prideaux, Jerilyn Adams, Gregory Don Giles, and Larry Dean Giles; his grandchildren, Christopher, Cortnae, Marc, Kristen, Robert, Joseph, Katie, Geoffrey, Maritza, and Phillip; his great-grandchildren, Kathryn, Austin, Laura, Dylan, R.J., Preston, Zoe, Alaiyah, Chase, Sophia, Luka, Tessa, Olivia, Nicholas and Asher, and his brother, Raymond Giles.
As we remember Homer Giles, Jr., we honor a kind-hearted man whose legacy will live on in the lives he touched and the laughter he shared. His commitment to family, hard work, and the joy of life have left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him.
