Hellen Jean Jones Wilde entered this world in Moody, Texas on May 13 , 1936 and departed this world on June 6, 2026. Born the loving daughter of Herbert James (Hub) and Loma Liola (Martin) of two competing Indian tribes, she was raised on the land and prospered for 90 years. Hellen had 2 brothers, the late, Bill Jones and the late Clifford Jones, and 4 sisters, the late Ann McCartney Milton, the late Lula Mae, Jenny Woodall and Fay Sanders.

Hellen went to West High School where she enjoyed everything from playing basketball to participating in beauty competitions, where she was even crowned beauty queen. Her favorite color was green and favorite flower was the iris. She was a devout christian, born baptist and later in life converted to catholic, even serving as a eucharistic minister at St. Joseph’s Church in Cleburne. Hellen met the love of her life, Dennis Anthony Wilde at a jewelry store in Fort Worth. He would hitch hike to see her as he would tell people she was “the prettiest thing he had seen in his life.” They were married August 25, 1956 in Decatur and spent 60 wonderful years together before Dennis passed.

Dennis and Hellen were blessed with 3 children, Ralph, Mark, and Misty. The family spent their time watching baseball, enjoying their large family Easter celebrations, and playing in the outdoors. Hellen loved her dogs, was a great seamstress, and loved her oil paintings. Ask anyone about her green thumb and they would tell you about her beautiful flower gardens or all the vegetables she would grow. One of her famous dishes was her homemade gumbo from scratch. Hellen also loved to bowl and play golf - she’d be quite competitive on the PlayStation golf games.

Hellen was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Wilde; parents, Herbert and Loma Jones; brothers, Clifford Jones and Bill Jones; sisters, Ann Milton and Lula Mae Jones.

She is survived by her son, Ralph Wilde; son, Mark Wilde & his wife Brenda; daughter, Misty Gossett; grandchildren, Kody Wilde & his wife Nichole, Matthew Wilde & his wife Megan, Macie Schroeder & her husband Adam, Kendall Rivera & her husband Sal, Megan Gossett, and Brittany Gossett; her 12 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Jenny Woodall and Faye Sanders.

Hellen was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
