Helen Powell passed away Friday, May 19, 2006 in Ft. Worth. She was born November 29, 1927 in Dennison, Texas to Homer and Annie Paddick Preston. She married James Russell Powell on July 27, 1946 in Mobile, Alabama.
Mrs. Powell was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Helen Powell is survived by husband, James Russell Powell of Cleburne; daughter, Deanna White of Cleburne; brother, James Preston of Ft. Worth; two sisters, Patsy Pierce of Cleburne and Connie Rice of Granbury; three grandchildren, Donald White, Dawn Shelton and Dale White; eight great grandchildren, Shelby, Cody, Christopher, Chase, Justin, Kennedy, and Delanie White and Brianna Shelton. She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Warnica.
