Helen Bailey

Helen Jean Bailey, 83, of Cleburne, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022, in Cleburne. An inurnment will be held at a later date in DFW National Cemetery.

Helen was born March 7, 1938, in Aurora, Indiana to Ernest and Inez (Ryle) Blue. She married James Bailey on April 3, 1954, in Dearborn County, Indiana. Helen was of the Baptist faith. After 10 children she went back to school to complete her nursing degree. She was a LVN with 8 years of service with Walls Regional Hospital in Cleburne. Helen's pride was in her children, learning, and passion for helping others.

Helen is survived by her 9 children, Charles Bailey of Justin, Texas, Michael Bailey and wife, Tammy of Phoenix, Arizona, Michele Nelson of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Rebecca Vogt and husband, Rick of Phoenix, Arizona, Brenda Anderson of Utah, Bethann Yott of White Settlement, Texas, David Bailey of Phoenix, Arizona, Brian Bailey and wife, Tonya of Cleburne, Texas, and Dennis Bailey of Cleburne, Texas; sister, Hazel Leckie of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 30 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Christopher Bailey, with his passing in 2017; and husband, James Bailey.
