A graveside service to honor Hazel Florence Loosier's life will be held on November 6, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Blum Cemetery, located at 309 Avenue F, Blum, Texas, 76627. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate the life of a woman who brought joy to those she loved.
Hazel Florence (Cox) Loosier, matriarch and cherished community member, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025, in Crowley, Texas, at the age of 94. Born on July 20, 1931, in Cleburne, to Curtis James and Hester (Cline) Cox. Hazel was a source of love and inspiration for her family and friends throughout her life.
Hazel was known for her warmth and creativity, enriching the lives of those around her with her talents. She had a deep passion for sewing, crafting not only beautiful garments but also lasting memories woven into the fabric of her family's history. Hazel thoroughly enjoyed playing Bingo, a pastime that brought her joy and the opportunity to connect with her friends in the community.
Hazel's legacy is carried forward by her two daughters, Louise Tucker and Nancy Loosier. She is also survived by her grandchildren: David Lewis, Lanny "James" Lewis, Ricky Lewis, Jamie Busch, Kimberly Beason, Crystal Fryar, and Christopher Fryar. She relished every moment spent with her family, especially her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, whose laughter and companionship illuminated her life.
Hazel was predeceased by her parents, Curtis and Hester Cox, as well as her sons, Monroe Loosier, Jr. and Larry Loosier. Her family remembers her as a loving mother, grandmother, and great and great-great-grandmother, whose spirit will continue to inspire them in the years to come.
