Gordon Alan Willis passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, in Cleburne, Texas. He was born on July 19, 1963, in Denton, Texas.

Gordon will be remembered as a man who found meaning in simple, steady things and who lived with a quiet devotion to the people and beliefs that mattered most to him. He worked as a handyman in construction, often found tinkering with countless different projects. Outside of work, he found joy in the natural world, especially in birdwatching and in leaving feed out for the birds and gardening.

He also treasured time spent on solo walks in nature and taking long drives. He looked forward to spending time at the Fort Worth Stock Show, making many memories with those he cared for.

He remained connected to the people and places that shaped his life. Gordon attended many of his high school reunions with his fellow 1981 Chisholm Trail Academy alumni, a reflection of the value he placed on lasting friendships and shared memories. He enjoyed the company of his family and close circle, and those who knew him will remember his presence, his familiar routines, and the care he showed in his own way. His life was also guided by a deep devotion to his faith, which remained an important part of who he was. He will be deeply missed by his family, who carry forward the memory of his life, his kindness, and the quiet joys he held dear.

Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mildred  (Reiter) Willis.

He is survived by his sisters, Gwen Hart and Grace Parish. He also leaves behind his nieces, Christy Hart-Munoz and Megan Parish; his nephew, Kevin Parish; his great-nephew, John Munoz; and his great-niece, Nova Munoz.
