A funeral service for Glenna Jean (Spears) West, 90, of Cleburne, will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel located at 512 N. Ridgeway Dr., Cleburne, TX 76033, with Pastor Neale Oliver officiating. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery, 960 E. Second St., Cleburne, TX 76031 with Lindsey Upshaw, Jack Hobson, Mike Spears, Gary Spears, Nicholas Gerber, Nathan Gerber, and William Patterson serving as pallbearers. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 9:00 - 10:00 AM prior to the service. 

Glenna Jean West, a cherished mother, devoted woman of faith, and beloved member of her community, passed away on July 21, 2026, in Cleburne.  She was born on August 25, 1935, in Coahoma, Texas. 

Glenna’s long and fruitful life was defined by her kindness, her steadfast spirit, and her enduring love for family and friends. She was known for her deep devotion as a loving mom, guiding her family with a gentle and nurturing hand. Her faith was the foundation of her daily life, a Godly woman whose compassion and generosity touched many. Those who knew her recall her unwavering commitment to serving others and the grace with which she lived.

Glenna thrived in the beauty of the outdoors and found great joy in tending her yard, nurturing every plant with the same care she gave to those around her. She was also gifted with creative hands, finding fulfillment in sewing and quilting. Her talents reached beyond her home; Glenna took particular pride in sewing for the band and color guard in Glen Rose.

One of her greatest joys was her grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with her affection and wisdom. Glenna’s legacy is carried forward in cherished family traditions, handmade quilts, and countless precious memories shared together.

Glenna was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Franklin West; parents, Johnnie Samuel Spears and Vera Alice (Hale) Spears; stepfather, Albert Knight; brothers, Michael Spears & his wife, Willie Mae; sisters, Yvonne Hobson & her husband, Jack. 

She is survived by her daughters, Karen Owens & her husband, David, and Linda Gerber & her husband, Gary; grandchildren, Marisa Patterson & her husband, William, Nathan Gerber, and Nicholas Gerber & his wife Julianne, and numerous nieces, nephews, close relatives and friends.
