Gina (Olivas) McNearney

A funeral service for Gina (Olivas) McNearney, 88, of Cleburne, will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday May 29,2025 at St Francis Village, 4070 St Francis Village Rd, Crowley, TX 76036 with Father Ken Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Grandview Cemetery.  There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home on Wednesday May 28, 2025. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Community Hospice of Texas in her honor.

Gina (Olivas) McNearney, a beloved and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, in Burleson, Texas. Born on June 8, 1936, in Tornillo, Texas, Gina lived a life filled with love, faith, and compassion, leaving a legacy that will resonate through generations.

Gina was preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters, her father, mother, one son, one granddaughter, and one grandson.

She is survived by her five children, 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren. 

Gina's nurturing spirit and warmth were felt by all who knew her, and she dedicated herself to being a guiding light in their lives.

A woman of great faith, Gina was known as a strong Christian who spent her life as a devoted missionary, always eager to spread the word of God. She had a gift for connecting with others, never meeting a stranger and always making new friends wherever she went. Her passion for teaching was evident in her work with both children and adults in English classes, where she shared her knowledge and love for learning.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Gina will remember her as a loving, faithful individual who touched many lives with her kindness and strength. She will be missed dearly but remembered fondly for her unwavering spirit.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to the Community Hospice of Texas.
