After graduating high school as valedictorian, he served honorably in the Navy during the Korean War. Following his military service, he graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a degree in electrical engineering. George loved his family, always asking what his grandkids were up to and how they were doing. His face would light up when they would come to visit. George had an unwavering faith in God. Constantly studying and wanting to understand his Bible, especially prophecy, led him to become a Seventh-day Adventist Christian in 1987. He lived a life of firm values and unwavering faith in a savior that died for him.
George was proceeded in death by his wife of 45 years, Martha Lovine Jackson Wallace; parents, Hamilton Fry and Lillian McPhail Wallace; sisters, Margaret Sue Wallace and Virginia May.
