Genaro Palomares

Funeral service for Genaro Moreno Palomares, 86, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 AM Friday, December 23, 2022, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Hector Salinas officiating. Interment will follow in the Rosehill Cemetery with Juan, Jose, Miguel, Pedro, Luis and Jesus Palomares serving as pallbearers. There will be a time of visitation from 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, December 22, 2022, in the funeral home.

Genaro was born to Pedro and Eva Moreno Palomares on September 19, 1936, in Muzquiz, Coahuila, Mexico. He married Maria Teresa Ledezma in 1960 in Mexico. They were married 39 years at the time of her death in 1999. Genaro enjoyed his many years ranching in Comstock, Texas and then later working as a carpenter in Cleburne, Texas. He was a devoted member of Oasis De Fe Church in Cleburne, Texas. Genaro has been described as a loving, hardworking and outgoing man who was always willing to help others. He was extremely committed to his family as well. His life truly centered around his family and his faith. Genaro spent countless hours reading his Bible and singing. He was a role model for all those that knew him. Genaro’s many life lessons, example of how to live and his big heart will be missed greatly. He was preceded in death by his parents (listed above); his wife, Maria Teresa Palomares; grandchildren, Arnoldo and Yesenia; 1 great grandson; and an infant sister, Carmen.

Left to cherish his memory and legacy are his children, Juan Palomares , Jose Palomares, Miguel Palomares, Javier Palomares , Pedro Palomares , Pablo Palomares, Eva Roa, Maria Lugo, Luis Palomares, and Jesus Palomares; 38 grandchildren, Joe, Edward, Edgar, Oliver, Miguel, Mayra, Maryela, John, Javier, Cesar, Mauro, David, Angel, Hillary, Josephine, Pedro, Jr., Christopher, Miranda, Pablo, Jr., Martha, Leonardo, Maria, Salvador, Jr., Juan, Teresa, Estevan, Luis, Jacqueline, Israel, Marcos, Emanuel, Christina, Victoria, Laura, Abigail, Esmeralda, Sara, and Rafael; 45 great-great grandchildren and 2 more on the way; siblings, Martin Palomares and Rosario Palomares de Martinez; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
