Gary Williams

Service for Gary W. Bear Williams, 66, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 13, 2014 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Deacon Rebel Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Gary Williams Jr., Justin Williams, Rebel Jones, Roman Jones, Ryan Jones and Will Williams. Honorary pallbearer will be Reggie Jones. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Mr. Williams passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014 in Dallas. He was born February 3, 1948 in Stephenville to J.L. and Winnie Oma Polk Williams. He married Mary Louise Granado on June 16, 1966 in Cleburne.

Mr. Williams was a police officer, retiring from the Fort Worth police department with 30 years of service. He was a member of Field Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Mary Williams of Cleburne; two sons, Gary Williams, Jr. and wife Claudia of Cleburne and Justin Williams and wife Chantell of McCall, Idaho; sister, Scarlot Jones of Cleburne; four grandchildren, Will Williams, Dylan Williams, Parker Williams and Hoyt Williams; four nephews, Reggie Jones, Rebel Jones, Roman Jones and Ryan Jones; and one neice, Rachael Wickery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.L. Williams and Winnie Oma Williams Barajas and stepfather, Cisco Barajas.
