Gary Lively

Gary Lynn Lively, a cherished member of the Cleburne, Texas community, passed away on May 11, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on March 2, 1954, in Meridian, Texas, Gary's life was marked by hard work, dedication, and a love for the outdoors.

Gary is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Joyce Lively, daughter, Joni Lively; son, Michael Lively;  daughter, Deb Walters and her husband Shane, and daughter, Angela Sisk and her husband Tommy; sisters, Beverly Atkison, Rachel Byrd, and Deborah Anderson; brother, Rickey Lively; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who held a special place in his heart.

Gary was passionate about farming and found great satisfaction in working the land. He loved spending time outside with his cows, often seen tending to them or riding his tractor. Gardening was another of his many joys, as he took pride in nurturing plants that thrived under his care. It was not uncommon for him to encourage the younger generation with practical lessons, having them grab a hoe to dig in the garden when they needed guidance.

A warm and engaging presence, Gary loved talking to people and forming connections. His kindness and heartfelt nature endeared him to many, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Rubin Quinton and Betty Louise (Bruce) Lively, who undoubtedly influenced the values he carried throughout his life.
