A funeral service for Ferrellyn Lucille (McWilliams) Hudson, of Weatherford will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 21, 2026 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel, located at 512 N Ridgeway Dr, Cleburne, TX with Pastor Van Houser officiating. Interment will follow in the Rosehill Cemetery, 960 E. Second St., Cleburne with Kevin Reamer, Tommy Bridges, Doug Kilgore, Daniel Husdon, and Robby White serving as pallbearers. Tom Jackson, Tanner Henry, and Hunter Hicks will serve as honorary pallbearers. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home on Thursday, August 20, 2026. The family request that memorial donations be made to Wings Over Texas Hospice, http://www.wotxhospice.com.
Ferrellyn Lucille (McWilliams) Hudson, 81, of Weatherford, (formly of Cleburne) passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 15, 2026 in Weatherford, TX. Ferrellyn was born in Cleburne, TX. Oct. 17, 1944 to Linley Raymond McWilliams and Evelyn Lucille Paschal McWilliams. Ferrellyn was a former Owner/ Bookkeeper for HUDSON HONDA and McDonald's franchise. She also worked many years for Crouch Supply Company. Ferrellyn married the love of her life Ronny Hudson, Feb. 5, 1965. Together they had two beautiful daughters, Tracey Lynn of Weatherford and Ashley D'Ann who passed shortly after birth. Ferrellyn worked hard alongside Ronny and they built an amazing life together. After Ronnys passing one of the cornerstones of Ferrellyn's life was a group of close friends and their monthly game time. She always connected with them, nurturing lifelong bonds and ensuring that no distance or time ever diminished the special place they held in her heart. As well as her Sunday School class and church, which she was a devoted member of Northside Baptist Church of Weatherford. Ferrellyn cherished her time spent in fellowship, drawing strength and comfort from her faith and community. She found happiness and fulfillment teaching, learning,and sharing with those around her. An adventurous spirit, she loved to travel, enjoyed taking in new sights and experiences, while creating precious memories along the way. At home, she was renowned for her skills in the kitchen, a great cook whose meals brought family and friends together. Ferrellyns culinary talents became part of her legacy, lovingly shared with all who gathered at her table.
A beautiful caring soul, her blue eyes and bright smile would light up any room. It was well known to her friends and family that Ferrellyn loved plants and flowers. She had a Green Thumb" she could grow the prettiest flowers all would envy. Her blooms were always the prettiest on the block. The love she had for her daughter Tracey was deep, but when Tracey blessed her with Grandchildren then Taylor and Tanner Blessed her with Great Grands the love got even deeper. Ferrellyn held them as her greatest blessings. The joy she found in their lives, accomplishments and laughter was immeasurable, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
Family, friendship, faith, and her gentle spirit define the legacy Ferrellyn leaves behind, a legacy rich in love, generosity, and gratitude. Ferrellyn's life was a celebration of love, kindness, and the beauty in simple things. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her and those who were blessed to call her friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronny Ray Hudson; daughter, Ashley D'Ann Hudson; granddaughter, Bailee Henry; Parents Linley Raymond McWilliams and Evelyn Lucille Paschal McWilliams; father and mother-in-law Narvel Hudson and Elloie Hudson, and sister Vicki Owens.
Ferrellyn is survived by her daughter, Tracey Hudson Jackson & husband Tom; grandchildren, Taylor Hicks & husband Hunter, Tanner Henry & girlfriend Brittney and Christian Jackson & girlfriend Lauren; great-grandchildren, Adelyna Taylor Hicks, Hudsyn Rae Hicks, Creed Lane Hicks and Luella Henry; sisters, Sherry Slaughter and Trudie Sauceda; and numerous aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
