A funeral service for Emilio Alvarado Lopez, Sr., 87, of Burleson, Texas will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, located at 807 North Anglin Street, Cleburne, TX 76031. Interment will follow in the Rio Vista Cemetery, Rio Vista, Texas. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home, located at 512 N Ridgeway Dr, Cleburne, TX 76033 on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

Emilio Alvarado Lopez, Sr, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2025, in Burleson, Texas. Born on July 23, 1937, in Miles, Texas, Emilio lived a life rich in love, creativity, and family.

He was known for his many talents and hobbies, particularly gardening and his passion for woodcrafts and birdhouses. Emilio was also a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys. His love for music filled his home and hearts of those around him, and he cherished the moments spent with his grandchildren, creating lasting memories that will be treasured by his family.

Emilio is preceded in death his beloved wife of 60 years, Bernarda Lopez, and sons, Samuel Lopez and Daniel Lopez and parents, Pablo Lopez and Carmela Alvarado. Their memory remains a significant part of his life’s story and continues to inspire those he has left behind.

He is survived by daughters, Sylvia Espinosa and Christine Garcia, and husband Octavio; sons, Emilio Lopez, Jr. and wife Lisa, Felix Lopez, and Frank Lopez and wife Rebehka; thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren; brothers, Raymond Lopez and Robert Lopez, and a host of other relatives and friends who were fortunate to know him.

As we remember Emilio, we honor a life well-lived, marked by creativity, love for family, and a profound appreciation for the simple joys in life. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will remain alive in the hearts of all who knew him.
