Elizabeth McWhorter

Service for Elizabeth “Betsy” McWhorter, 81, of Godley, will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 19, 2023 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Randy Tucker will officiate. Burial will follow in Godley Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, May 18, 2023 at the funeral home.

Mrs. McWhorter passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023 in Wise County. She was born February 4, 1942 in Fort Worth to Arthur B., Jr. and Madeline Adah ( Newberry) Freeland. She married Bobby P. McWhorter. He preceded her in death in 2022. Mrs. McWhorter was an educator for the Shelton Private School. She was a member of Godley United Methodist Church in Godley.

Mrs. McWhorter is survived by her son, Jason Lindhorst of Godley; step-son, Steve McWhorter of Nocona and sister Cynthia Freeland of Mineola.

Mrs. McWhorter is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
