A private inurnment for Elbert Dale Holder will be held in the Dallas – Fort Worth National Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date. His wishes were that there be no memorial service after his cremation. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to North Cleburne Baptist Church Youth Ministry or the Wounded Warrior Project in loving memory of Elbert.
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Husband, Daddy, and Grandaddy at the age of 83.
Elbert Dale Holder, a faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ slipped away in his sleep and took Jesus’ hand as he gained his angel wings. He answered the call readily and with immense peace. With him he ascended and passed over to his eternal heavenly home and was welcomed and accepted into Heaven to live for eternity and to be embraced in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ forever more.
He ended his earthly journey on earth and went to be with the Lord, on July 9th at home in Burleson, Texas.
Elbert stood firm in his faith through all the trials of life and during his health issues over the past few years. He faithfully read his Bible daily and loved playing his harmonica and entertaining anyone who would listen. We will miss his wonderful mouth harp music as he called it. His loved telling others about Jesus and led many people to Jesus Christ.
He is now totally healed and rests in the arms of his Savior. He has received his reward and now stands in the presence of God.
We lost him here on earth but now he’s where he always wanted to be, and he’s won the ultimate prize. A place in God’s glorious Kingdom of heaven.
We are at peace that he’s happier now than he ever had been before because he’s not suffering with anything any longer and where he wanted to be.
