A memorial service for Dylon Mykel Walker, 21, of Rio Vista will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, July 31, 2025, at First Baptist Church Rio Vista, 201 S Cleburne Whitney Rd, Rio Vista, TX 76093. The family encourages those in attendance to wear their favorite plaid button up shirt in honor of Dylon.
Dylon Mykel Walker, a beloved son, and a devoted man of God, was born on March 6, 2004, in Boise, Idaho. He entered eternal rest on July 16, 2025, in Hillsboro, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love and inspiration.
Dylon’s life, though brief, was marked by a profound devotion to his faith and an unwavering commitment to his family. Known for his soft spoken demeanor, he possessed a passionate spirit that illuminated the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. A star student, Dylon's intelligence and curiosity knew no bounds, paving the way for him to make a large impact on those around him.
He had a variety of hobbies, with a special enthusiasm for trains, a passion that showcased both his creativity and fascination with the world. Dylon embodied a unique balance of being both soft-hearted and strong, traits that endeared him to all who crossed his path. His profound love for his family and church community created an unbreakable bond that will forever be cherished by those he held close to his heart.
Thoughtful and generous by nature, Dylon was known for his patience and gratitude. He approached life with a sense of wonder and appreciation, never complaining about the challenges he faced. He also had a delightful fondness for bagel sandwiches, which brought him simple joy.
Dylon is preceded in death by his great-grandparents.
Dylon is survived by his mother, Amber Walker; father, Adam Walker; sister MaKala Walker; grandparents, Valerie and John Shell, Grant and Terri Walker; uncles Justin Shell, Scott Walker, Chad Walker; his beloved dog, Ollie, nieces and nephews and many friends and other relatives
