Douglas Wayne Damron

A memorial service for Douglas Wayne Damron, 69, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 10, 2024, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel with Reverend Ken Coleman officiating.

 

Douglas went home to be with the Lord in peace on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 in Alvarado. He was born November 12, 1954 in Alvarado to Larnce Treat and Nadona Frances (Foust) Damron. Douglas married Sharon Jane Lay on February 6, 1976 in Cleburne. He was of the Baptist faith. Douglas worked as a truck driver in Logistics for over 30 years. He was loved dearly by friends and family. Douglas loved and cared for everyone. He enjoyed life and telling jokes to make everyone laugh. Douglas liked fishing, fast cars, motorcycles and watching old westerns and Star Trek. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

 

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sharon Damron; daughters, Jamie Fletcher and husband, Robert, Jennifer Cooey; and Kimberly Laningham and husband, Jeremiah; grandchildren, Uriah Cooey, Kelsey Cooey, and Maddalynn Laningham; brothers, Keith Damron and wife, Brenda, Ray Damron and wife, Samantha; and stepmother, Ida Damron.

 

Douglas was preceded in death by his father, Larnce Damron; mother, Nadona Damron; brothers, James and Greg Damron; and stepsister, Nancy Fuston.
