Dorothy Winona Chastain Stewart

Dorothy Winona Chastain Stewart, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 in Crowley, Texas. Born on January 16, 1931, in San Antonio, Texas, Dorothy lived a life characterized by love and dedication to her family. She enjoyed fishing and caring for her flower garden.

 She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Judy Woodall and her husband, Larry, and Denise Gross and her husband, Harvey. Dorothy's legacy continues through her 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, who will forever hold her memories in their hearts.

 She is preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Melvin Stewart; sons, Melvin Leon Stewart and Roger D. Stewart; parents, Hugh Frances and Mamie Ethel (Morris) Chastain; brothers, Freddie F. Chastain, Cecil C. Chastain, Hugh Joe Chastain; sisters, Ethel Christine McPhereson, Jetty Kate Kimbrow and Anna Marie Tuggle

 Visitation will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home, located at 512 N Ridgeway Dr, Cleburne, TX 76033. A graveside service will take place the following day, Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Greenacres Memorial Park, 3201 North Main Street, Cleburne, TX 76033.

 Dorothy's spirit and kindness touched all who knew her, and she leaves behind a profound legacy woven into the lives of her family. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
