Donald Wayne Murff passed away peacefully on August 6, 2026, in Cleburne. He was born on July 11, 1954, in Shreveport, Louisiana. His life was one marked by generosity, strength, and an unwavering commitment to family and community.

Donald was known to many as a jokester, a quality that brought joy and laughter into the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. Beyond his sense of humor, his work ethic and leadership stood out. He approached every endeavor with determination and was never one to shy away from responsibility. Colleagues, friends, and family alike respected him as a selfless provider and protector; always putting the needs of others before his own, and doing so with a warm, caring heart.

He was a loving grandfather, cherishing the time he spent with his grandbabies. These moments, filled with pride and joy, were some of his most treasured. His thoughtful nature made those around him feel valued, and his charismatic presence had a way of lighting up every room. Style was also a signature of Donald, he took great care in presenting himself fashionably, reflecting his attention to detail and enthusiasm for life.

Donald was also deeply business oriented, approaching challenges with a keen mind and ambition. He was a Green Bay Packers fan, never missing an opportunity to share the excitement of the game. Among his proudest achievements was attaining a third-degree black belt, a testament to his discipline, perseverance, and dedication. A man of deep faith, Donald’s God-fearing spirit was evident throughout his life. He lived thoughtfully and with conviction, always seeking to do right by others.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Miller Murff and Ora V. Newson; grandmother, Louieza Newson; sister, Shirley Murff, and nephew, Derrick Charles.

Donald is survived by his wife, Felicia Murff; children, Dexter "Big Dex" Murff & his wife, Adriana, Taineka "Big Girl" Murff, Taiesha "Baby Girl" Murff, and Damian "Lil D" Murff; grandchildren, Keaden Murff, Mila Murff, Naima Murff, Zo'Riah Holmes, Lyric Murff, Kingstyn Murff, and Joshua Murff; siblings, Michal Murff, Miller Murff, Melvin Murff, Larry Murff, Bobby Murff, Gary Murff, Patricia Bowman, and Doloris Banks.
