Destani Rhea Mize, born on August 20, 1989, in Cleburne, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. She was a remarkable woman, described by those who knew her as a loving soul, a true firecracker, and a dedicated fighter. Destani’s unwavering devotion to the people she loved defined her life, and she would do anything to support and uplift those close to her. She dedicated her life to her passion and business, Barking Mad Doggy Daycare and Boarding for 11 years. 

Throughout her life, Destani exhibited an indomitable spirit and resilience that inspired many. Her courage and determination were evident in every aspect of her journey, and she faced challenges with staunch bravery and grace. Those fortunate enough to cross her path knew her as someone who fiercely protected and cherished her family and friends.

Destani is survived by her husband, Clint Mize; her daughter, Kimber Mize; her brother, Chase Duke; “Momma” Brandye Vaughan and her husband Wayne; her grandparents, Beverly Leverett and Johnny Leverett; her stepdad, Mike Duke; and mother-in-law, Lori Mize.

 Destani Rhea Mize’s life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and commitment, and she will forever be remembered with deep respect and affection.
