Dennis Dawkins

Dennis Dawkins, 81, of Cleburne, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022, in Cleburne. He was born August 17, 1940, in Memphis, Tennessee to Maurice and Evelyn (Scott) Dawkins. There will be a private memorial service at a later date.

Dennis married Mary Ann Miller on June 1, 1987, in Fort Worth. He was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Cleburne. Dennis served in the U.S. Army as Sergeant from 1958-1964 during the Vietnam era. He also worked for General Motors in Fort Worth for over 30 years. Dennis was a private man who loved his family and his job. He was an avid Texas Rangers fan. He will be fondly remembered sitting with his coffee watching the birds.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Mary A. Dawkins; children, Michelle Dawkins, Michael Dawkins, Teresa Everett, Julie Lewis, and Jeanne James; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Michael Dawkins and wife, Nikkie, and Gloria Hyden; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Myers; siblings, Virginia Ferguson, and Larry M. Dawkins.
