Deloris Cogdill, born on June 9, 1958, in Lubbock, Texas, peacefully passed away on June 5, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas. She left behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.
Deloris was a woman whose heart truly knew no bounds. With a profound love for animals and an unwavering dedication to those she cherished, she embodied the essence of compassion in every capacity. Family was the cornerstone of Deloris's life. She was known for her boundless support and her steadfast commitment to her loved ones. As a loving partner of 25 years to Jeff Jordan, she found joy and strength in their shared life together. Her role as a devoted mother was one she carried with great pride her children remained at the core of her heart. Though deeply mourned, her light continues to shine in those she leaves behind.
Deloris also treasured her connections beyond family. She was honored to serve as a member in the Eastern Star and Rainbow Girls organizations, places where she found fellowship and purpose.
Deloris Cogdill's life was a tapestry woven with love, commitment, and grace. Her spirit endures in the hearts of her living family and friends, inspiring all who had the privilege to know her. Deloris is preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Lin Lord; son, James Gregory Lord Jr.; parents, Raymond and Mary Luther; brothers, Raymond Luther Jr. and Timothy J. Luther.
She is survived by her partner, Jeff Jordan; daughter, Jessica Coslow & her husband, Jesse; granddaughter, Hailey Coslow; sister, Mariann DeHeus; sister, Susan Trate; brother, Ronald Luther & his wife, Sherri; sister, Cynthia Banks & her husband, Jerry; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
