Delores Doty Jones

A graveside service for Delores Ann Jones will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 4, 2025 in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home 512 N. Ridgeway, Cleburne, Texas 76033.

Delores Ann Jones, of Cleburne, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 30, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on January 4, 1946, in Cleburne, she lived a life marked by love, generosity, and devotion to her family.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur B. Doty and Carletha Doty; brother Sherrill Doty, and sister Wanda Knight. Delores is survived by her beloved husband, James Jones; brothers Wyndlon Doty and wife Shirley, Jimmy Doty, and Allen Doty and wife Dorene, and sister Addie Reasoner; daughter, Lei Ann Wright and husband David; grandchildren, Haden Wright and wife Hannah, and Cassidy Van Zandt and husband Ryan; and her adored great-grandchildren, Raylei, Hadlei, Holton, and Kennedy. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews - each one held a special place in her heart, and she loved them like her own.

Delores, known by many as “Maw”, lived with a servants heart, always putting others before herself. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering generosity touched everyone who knew her. Whether it was a home-cooked meal, or a safe escape, her door was always open.

Though we will miss her deeply, we rejoice in the hope of Heaven, knowing she is at peace in the presence of the Lord. She has fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:7). Her life was a light, and her legacy will continue in the hearts of all who were blessed to be loved by her.
