Celebration of life services for David Rubalcaba, 60, of Fort Worth, will begin with a time of visitation and fellowship at 9:00 AM, then the funeral service with a rosary beginning at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 14, 2026 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel, located at 512 N. Ridgeway Drive, Cleburne, Texas 76033. Chaplain Eddy Carrell will officiate with Joe Andrew Rubalcaba reciting the rosary. There will be a private inurnment at a later date.

David Rubalcaba passed away surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, September 10, 2026 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born to Servando and Guadalupe Rubalcaba on October 6, 1965 in Fort Worth, Texas. David was of the Catholic faith. He believed in working hard and was not one to stay idle, having worked in various capacities throughout his life. His love of gardening and flowers made his time as a landscaper one of his fondest chapters. David enjoyed the outdoors in general, but especially being at the grill cooking chicken or any kind of barbeque. If you knew him, you most likely were blessed with a plate of his cooking or baking masterpieces. His family remembers his meatloaf, flautas, enchiladas and several chicken dishes well. If he was not outside grilling or working on his garden with a cigarette in hand, he could be found watching movies of all kinds – often a western or cheering his favorite baseball team (Texas Rangers) on or visiting with loved ones.

“Grandpa David” was proud of his family, but especially his grandchildren. His world was brighter for having them in his life. It has been said that he had a big heart and was giving, even when he did not have it to give. Many of those blessed to know him were recipients of his giving nature – through his time, talents and resources. David was strong willed and had a bit of an independent streak as well. The next time you go to make a sandwich, be sure to call it a “sang-wich” as he did and think of him. David leaves behind a legacy filled with love for family, faith in God and giving to others. He will be missed greatly.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Servando & Guadalupe Rubalcaba; sister & brothers-in-law, Ana & John Garca, and John Salazar.

Survivors include his sons & daughters-in-law, Joe David & Rubi Rubalcaba, John Paul & Shawna Rubalcaba, Angel Cruz Rubalcaba, Victor Jesus Jr. & Jeanette Rangel, and John Joseph & Candice Rangel; grandchildren, Alex, Jaxyn, Jett, Jayden, Jaelyn “Sister”, Elias, Abel, Ezra, Nicole, Ashlyn, Joseph, and Ian; siblings & their spouses, Armando Rubalcaba, Christine Salazar, Joe Andrew & Mary Rubalcaba, and Cynthia & David Ontiveras; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
