David "Dave" Henry

David “Dave” Wayne Henry, 71, of Rio Vista, Texas, sadly passed away on November 10, 2024, in Fort Worth. He was born on November 11, 1952, in Virginia. On January 12, 1993, he married Connie Sue Moore in Godley, and they shared 30 wonderful years together until her passing on October 6, 2023.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Dave dedicated his career to being a Master Diesel Mechanic, a profession he passionately pursued throughout his life. He was known for his love of fishing, often spending cherished moments with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed shooting guns. A devoted family man, Dave was also a huge supporter of his grandchildren, always their loudest cheerleader at their life events. In addition to his family, he adored all animals big and small, especially his horses and his side kick, Pepper. Known for his warm personality, Dave had a gift for storytelling and never hesitated to engage with others, making friends wherever he went. His joy in making people smile was a hallmark of his character. He loved making people laugh and never met a stranger. Dave’s life will be remembered with love and gratitude by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children, Daina Johnson and husband Cody, Dusti Hall and husband Jake, and Debbi Jaggers and husband Brandon; his stepchildren, Barry Johnson and wife Brenda, and Amy Brown and husband Heath. Additionally, Dave leaves behind his grandchildren, Tyler Henry, Caitlin Johnson, Rileigh Johnson, Austin Johnson, Callum Hall, Mayci Jones, and Layni Jaggers, Taylor, Autumn, Hayden, River, Bailey, Jaydon, Summer, and Ashlyn; as well as numerous other great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Doug Henry and Ginger, Donna Gerrell and Sonny, and Deena Spach and Alan, along with many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Arthur and Mitchell Eloise Dixon Henry, and his beloved wife, Connie Moore Henry.
