Darla Penny

Darla Taylor Penny, 74, of Cleburne, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023, in Cleburne. She was born November 4, 1949, in Slaton, Texas to Walter and Mildred Jolly Taylor. Darla loved to fish, being down by the river, and collecting rocks. She also enjoyed entertaining others. Darla had a green thumb and loved growing indoor and outdoor plants. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were everything to her. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her son, Korey Bishop an wife, Angela of Gastonia, North Carolina; daughters, Kellie Bishop and husband, Robert Jennings of Sharon, South Caolina, Kristy Penny of Venus and Kandyce Penny also of Venus, Texas; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Wanona Bandy of Cleburne, Tina McMaster and husband, Mike of Cleburne, and Lina Hopper and husband, Ricky of Cleburne; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

Darla was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Doyle Taylor.
