A funeral service for Danny Don Reed, 86, of Greenville, will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 29, 2026, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel, located at 512 N Ridgeway Dr, Cleburne, TX 76033. Interment will follow in the Rosehill Cemetery located at 960 E. Second St., Cleburne, TX 76031 with Joey Struve, Anthony Medina, Jr., Nathan Medina, Jordan Crownover, Kayden Crownover, Victor Struve serving as pallbearers. Jimmy Vasquez, Chris Espinosa, Anthony Medina, Sr., and Brent Nails will serve as honorary pallbearers. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to service.

Danny Don Reed passed away on June 24, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. He was born on December 15, 1939, in Brady, Texas. Danny’s life was marked by unwavering dedication, boundless kindness, and a legacy of love and dependability that will long be cherished by all who knew him.

Throughout his long and accomplished career, Danny distinguished himself over 35 years as the Plant Director of Engineering, where he notably broke ground on Walls Hospital. His work ethic, commitment to excellence, and sharp problem-solving skills left an indelible mark on his field and those fortunate enough to collaborate with him.

Danny was known to all as “a man with a plan.” He was thoughtful, caring, and always dependable, a source of unwavering support to those around him. Danny was always there, no challenge too great, no problem unsolvable. Whether in moments of joy or times of need, he could be counted on for sage advice, loving guidance, and a comforting word. His positivity was infectious; negativity found no place in his presence. He was loving and attentive, and his capacity for kindness and generosity set an inspiring example. His legacy as the “best father and provider” is poignantly felt by his family, especially his daughters, all proudly “Daddy’s Girls.”

Danny Don Reed’s life was a testament to integrity and devotion. His memory will forever be a guiding light that inspires those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, P. T. Reed and Bonnie Bessie (Jones) Reed; brothers, P.T. Reed, Jr., Bill Reed, Dwight Reed, Joe Reed, and Bobby Reed and sister, MataLou Browning.

Danny is survived by his daughters, Valery Donise Reed-Espinosa & her husband, Chris, Malena Kay Reed-Medina & her husband, Anthony, Tricia Olena Reed-Vasquez & husband, Jimmy; grandchildren, Joey Struve & his wife, Rebecca, Kristy Williamson, Jessica Medina, Brent Nails, Britany Medina, Anthony Medina, Jr., Nathan Medina, Payton Vasquez, Paige Vasquez; thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; partner, Virginia Glen Day; the mother of his children, Barbara Glover-Everett, and numerous nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
