Cindy Powell passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, in Fort Worth. She was born June 2, 1963, in Fort Hood, Texas.

She will be remembered as a woman of deep compassion, steady faith, and generous love. She loved nursing and found meaning in caring for others, a calling that reflected the way she lived her life each day. She loved to help people and gave of herself freely, always ready to offer comfort, kindness, and support to those around her.

She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a loving Grammy whose family brought her great joy. Her warmth extended beyond her home to her church, where she loved to help and lived out her strong Christian faith in service to others. She also found comfort and happiness in quiet moments reading Christian books, drawing strength and encouragement from her faith.

Cindy had a special love for animals and opened her heart and home to many, fostering mostly cats and caring deeply for them. She also dearly loved her pet cows, which brought her a special kind of happiness. Whether she was caring for people, tending to animals, supporting her church, or spending time with those she loved most, Cindy lived with tenderness, purpose, and grace.

Her life was marked by a servant’s heart and a loving spirit that touched many. She leaves behind the memory of a woman who gave generously, believed deeply, and loved fully.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Roy G. Bowers and grandson, Isaac Castaneda.
