Courtney "Court" Conklin

A Celebration of Life for Courtney “Court” Conklin, 39, of Cleburne will be at a later date.

Courtney Lynn Conklin, 39 gained her angel wings on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. She was born to Michael and Rhonda Smith on May 6, 1986.

Courtney always had a wicked sense of humor and very quick wit that would leave you with a cramp in your abdomen from laughing. She also had the biggest heart and giving spirit. She was very blessed to find the love of her life, Charles and they married on October 21, 2006 in a fun filled Halloween themed wedding. They went on to have two beautiful children who were and always will be her very pride and joy, Claire and Cash. You could always hear her over everyone else in the gym cheering all those babies on!

Courtney is survived by her beloved husband, Charles Conklin; daughter Claire Conklin and son, Cash Conklin; parents, Rhonda Smith, Michael Smith and wife Racheal; brother, Dustin Smith (always known to her lovingly as Bubba) and his wife Hannah, her beloved nephews, Brennon Smith, Parker Schisler and Reece Smith. She is also survived by her grandparents, Richard and Lynda Thurman, who affectionally called her “Stinky Dink”, her entire life and numerous aunts uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by grandmother, Sammie Smith, great-grandparents, J.B. Smith, Doris Forrest and Imogene and Floyd Brown and Wilson and Johnnie Mae Smith, Mary and Richard C. Thurman and “Fun Uncle” Richard Thurman, Jr.
