A Celebration of Life for Cindy Hornbuckle, 64, of Blum, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Chisolm Trail Community Park in Blum, Texas.

Cindy Hornbuckle, born on August 17, 1961, gained her wings on February 23, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, resilience, and a spirit that refused to be anything but authentically her own.

Cindy shared her life with her devoted long‑term partner of seven years, Danny Allmond, and was mother to Tony Rance Green (and wife, Patsy), Brandi Green Johnson (and husband, Keairon), and Marisa Click, and stepmom to Melody Allmond. Cindy was blessed with a legacy of many grandchildren and great‑grandchildren.

Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Bonnie Hornbuckle, and her brothers, Gerald and Carl Hornbuckle. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.

Cindy found happiness in life’s simple pleasures — tending to her garden, discovering treasures while thrifting, and caring for her beloved fur babies. She never met a stray animal she didn’t want to rescue, and she never let a friend go without. Her smile could light up a room, and her laugh was infectious.

Jovial and vivacious, yet still just a country girl at heart, Cindy carried a rare blend of qualities. She was brutally honest and unafraid to speak her mind, but gentle, warm, and compassionate when the moment called for it. She was love and fire and grounded humility in one body. Imperfect. Forgiving. Gentle. Fierce.

A true rebel at heart, Cindy lived life on her own terms. She endured more hardships than most will ever know, and those experiences shaped her into someone with remarkable depth, compassion, and wisdom. She was the kind of person you could talk to for hours — someone who listened with her whole heart and offered comfort shaped by her own journey.

Cindy cherished the message of her favorite poem, Footprints In the Sand. Her faith rested in the gentle promise Jesus gives us — that in our deepest valleys, He carries us. “When you saw one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.” That promise of quiet strength and divine presence reflected the way she moved through the world — with faith, endurance, and a heart big enough to hold others through their hardest moments.

She was a survivor, a nurturer, a fighter, and a light. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her love will continue to guide her family and all who were blessed to know her.
