A funeral service for Christopher “Chris” Wade Thompson, 41, of Nemo, Texas, will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at The Heights Church Cleburne, located at 1315 E. FM Road 4, Cleburne, TX 76033 with Pastor Kody Hughs officiating. Interment will follow in the Burleson Memorial Cemetery, 490 Memorial Plaza, Burleson, TX. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Crosier-Pearson Funeral Home, located at 512 N Ridgeway Dr., Cleburne, TX 76033 on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Cast for Kids, info@castforkids.org  or Wounded Warriors, support.woundedwarriorproject.org in lieu of floral tributes for the service.

Like a strong road stretching beneath an open Texas sky, Christopher Wade “Pooh” Thompson’s life carried purpose, labor, laughter, and love. Christopher, 41, passed away on August 20, 2026, in Cleburne, Texas. He was born on June 4, 1985, in Burleson, Texas.

From a young age, Christopher worked in the trucking industry, learning the rhythm of hard work early and following it with steady determination. In time, and with the help of partners and a really great friend, he built his own company. His life’s work reflected the same constant strength he brought home each day: dedication, commitment, and a willingness to keep moving forward. Beyond his work, Christopher will be remembered in the bright and lasting ways a life leaves its mark. Those who knew him remember his huge heart, his wit, and his sense of humor. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, loved music, and believed in God and trusted Him. Above all, his family stood at the center of his world. He was described as the best dad ever and a loving husband who loved his family so much. In the home he built with them, his love was not a small thing; it was the steady light by which so much was held together.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dana Thompson; father, Jerry Thompson; grandfather, Freddy Fincher, and grandmother, Lena Fincher.

Christopher was a loving husband to Maegan Thompson and a devoted father to Carson Thompson and Koti Thompson. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and extended family members and friends.
