Charles Scott

Service for Charles G. Scott, 68, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 23, 2022, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Visitation will be conducted on Friday, July 22, 2022, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Cleburne. The Reverend Donald J. Earl will officiate. Casket bearers will be Jimmy Scott, Jr., Jerry Thorne, Isaiah Washington, Bruce Washington, Montry Brown, Ricky Leacy and Steven Scott.

Charles G. Scott passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022, in Richland Hills. He was born on July 17, 1953, in Cleburne to James F. and Velma Lee (Patterson) Scott. He was a welder and a member of Greater Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend David Baldwin, Sr.

Charles is survived by his daughter, Naomi (Victor) Allen of Kansas City, Missouri; sons, Bernard Brown of Keene and Corey Spencer of Grand Prairie; six grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Brenda Prather of Hurst and Mary Washington of Cleburne; aunt, Lora Scott of Dallas; uncle, Willie Patterson of Terrell, numerous nieces, nephews and host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Annie Scott and Irene Hunter; brothers, Jimmy Scott and Bobby Scott.
