A graveside service for Charles Paul Pierce, Jr., 94, of Cleburne, will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 in the Rosehill Cemetery located at 405 Watters St., Cleburne, Texas 76033 with Chaplain Eddy Carrell officiating. Steve Whitney, Jerrod Whitney, Scott Menuey, Tristan Makarwich, and David Huggins will be serving as pallbearers
Charles Paul Pierce, Jr., a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025, in Cleburne, Texas. Born on February 22, 1931, in Malone, Texas, Charles lived a life full of dedication, service, and love.
Charles proudly served his country as a veteran of the Korean War, exhibiting both courage and commitment during his time in the armed forces. Upon returning home, he devoted many years to the Santa Fe Railroad, where he excelled as an Assistant Chief Dispatcher. His professionalism and unwavering dedication to his work were hallmarks of his character.
A proud Baptist, Charles was known for his kind heart and deep compassion for all living creatures. He loved animals dearly, reflecting his gentle spirit and warmth towards those around him. Charles was particularly devoted to his wife, June Pierce, with whom he shared a life filled with love and adventure. Together, they created a nurturing home for their daughters.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Pierce, Sr. and Eunice Pierce; his sister, Theda Jack Norman, and brother-in-law, Hallie Lee Norman.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, June, and their daughters, Paula Menuey and her husband Scott, and Karen Whitney and her husband Steve; grandchildren, Ashton Makarwich, Tristan Makarwich, and Jerrod Whitney; nephews, Andy Novak and Paul Norman, and a host of other family members and friends who cherished him deeply.
Charles Paul Pierce, Jr. will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.
