A funeral service for Charles "C.A. Albert Braddock, 95 of Cleburne, will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 18, 2026 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel, located at 512 N. Ridgeway Dr., Cleburne, TX 76033, with Reverend Charles Payne officiating and Reverend Earl Sides assisting. Interment will follow in the Greenacres Memorial Park Cemetery, Cleburne with Michael Burgess, Sr., Michael Burgess, Jr., Tyler Burgess, Blake Braddock, Keith Kunkel, and Gary Mullins serving as pallbearers and Terry Mullins and James Sheldon as honorary pallbearers. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 17, 2026.
Charles "C.A." Braddock, a beloved figure known for his dedication, warmth, and enduring spirit, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026, in Cleburne, Texas. Born on February 2, 1931, in Pecan Gap, Texas, Charles lived a full and rich life, remembered fondly by all who knew him as a man of strength and kindness.
C.A. devoted over 45 years to the Santa Fe Railroad, serving with diligence and pride as a track inspector. His commitment to his work was a testament to his strong character and work ethic. Beyond his professional life, Charles possessed a deep affection for his John Deere tractor, a symbol of his connection to the land and simpler joys. His zest for life was evident to all who met him — living until the remarkable age of 95 years young.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlie Curtis Braddock and Lena Pearl (Clements) Braddock; wives, Barbara Jean Braddock, to whom he was married for 28 years, and Betty Carolyn Braddock, married for 38 years; brothers, Curtis Don Braddock, Bobby Wayne Braddock, and David Lynn Braddock; sister, Dorothy Dingler; nephews, Bryan Keith and Terry Dingler, and niece, Leah Dawn.
C.A. is survived by his children, Rhonda Rhoades & her husband Bill, Cheryl Stewart & her husband Randy, Wayne Loggains & his wife Barbara, Glenda Brooks & her husband Richard, Gary Loggains & his wife Shannon, and Nanette Peifer; grandchildren, Christina Burgess & husband, Michael, Holly Jean Stewart, Darryl Loggains & his wife, Bridgett, Cass Anderson, Jackie Latham, Aaron Peifer, Tyler Peifer, Rachel Hamilton, and James Sheldon & his wife Danielle; 17 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.
Charles "C.A." Braddock’s life was marked by steadfast dedication, a generous heart, and an enduring love for family. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.
